The easter and summer matches were in aid of the Llandudno Owl sanctuary
and were loads of fun. Everyone enjoyed stroking the owls and all young anglers
got prizes and easter eggs.

Three
young anglers (left) rescued a wounded herring gull and the owl sanctuary took
it home to be looked after.
Sarah
Legg has won more prizes and trophies than any other NWSA junior winning 1st
in Easter 2003, and in the summer 2003 match she beat adults to win the prize
for largest flatfish.
Melissa
Hope wasn't allowed to fish because she was an organiser but did enjoy stroking
the owls, especially this rare eagle owl and the rare white faced scops owl
(right).
Andrew
Eccles fished through gales and rough seas to win the junior trophy for 1st
place in the xmas 2003 match. He won many prizes, one of which was mascot for
a day for Wrexham FC.
Kevin
Ashton and Adam Ashton are the only father and son to both come first in the
same NWSA match. In the Llandullas summer match, Adam won the junior section
while his father Kevin came 1st in the adults.
John
Butters fished through rain and snow to win the xmas 2002 match and came 2nd
in the xmas 2003 match. He was the Wrexham FC mascot for a day. To see his day
