Stormin The Castle Rally September 2004

Excellent rally near Newcastle. Very very child friendly with LOADS for us kids. Great castle to explore. It was built in 1881 and is nearly as old as Megs dad.

Meg 'chillin' out at the tent. Meg had her hair in platts for the weekend.

Melissa wore an 'Easy Rider' bandana for the weekend. It was easier than brushing her hair every morning!

Kooooooool castle!

Brilliant playground.

Exceeeeeeeeeeeedingly good fairground. It cost our dads a fortune but who cares about that. NOT US!!!!

Big Lollies. We found that after licking them we could throw them at peoples backs and they stuck.

As well as lollies, we ate chips, chips and ermm.....more chips.

Some brilliant bands including The Stranglers who were awesome! The band above did some excellent Pink Floyd stuff with lots of freakin out on guitar.

Megs dad put his modified Kawasaki in the bike show. and it evidently interested people as they looked around it a lot. Below is the info about it that he put on the entry sheet.

And here's a small selection of the other bikes in the show, starting with the.........

Rat Bikes

Combat Bikes

Mad Paint Jobs

Vintage Bikes

Choppers

And some veeeeeeeery interesting bikes!

And a trike for people with large families!

Squires

On the journey home, Meg, Melissa, both Dads and friends did a detour to the Squires bikers pub, where they were doing a lot of work to raise funds for bikers needs. Great atmosphere with loads of bikes and great rock music blasted out of the speakers in the car park.

Meg sits on the Yamaha R1 that she hopes to win. The R1 is the 1st prize in the Squires raffle.

Melissa had a sit on the R1 as well but was nervous of knocking it over. Well, it is worth about 8 grand, which is about 500 years worth of her pocket money!!!

Megs dad (above left) is saying 'Do you wanna do a straight swap on the R1 for my Z750.

Great fun on the Sega bike racing was a good way to end the rally weekend.
